Andrew & Olivia's
Location: Sahalie Falls | Season: Summer| Guests: 30 | Duration 3 hours
When planning an Oregon waterfall elopement, timing can make all the difference—and Andrew and Olivia absolutely nailed it.
To beat both the summer heat and the crowds, everyone met bright and early at the Sahalie Falls trailhead at 8:00 AM. Family and friends made the trip together from Bend, Oregon aboard a party bus, turning the drive into part of the celebration before they even reached the falls.
One of the things I loved most about their day was how simple and intentional it was. There was no elaborate schedule or hours of formalities—just the people they loved most gathered in one of Oregon's most breathtaking locations to witness them exchange vows. The ceremony itself lasted only a few minutes, proving that an unforgettable wedding doesn't have to be complicated.
Afterward, we spent about an hour exploring the trails around Sahalie Falls. While many visitors stop at the main viewpoints, Andrew and Olivia were up for a little adventure. Together, we carefully made our way down a steep, slippery path closer to the waterfall, where the rushing water, dramatic cliffs, and morning light created some of the most incredible portraits of the day.
Their willingness to trust the process—and get a little muddy in the process—made all the difference. Those images captured not only the beauty of Sahalie Falls, but also the adventurous spirit that brought them there in the first place.
If you're dreaming of an intimate Oregon elopement surrounded by waterfalls, towering evergreens, and unforgettable scenery, Sahalie Falls is one of the most incredible places to say "I do." Arriving early in the morning offers cooler temperatures, fewer visitors, and some of the best light for photographs, making it an ideal location for couples looking for both beauty and privacy.
Andrew and Olivia's wedding is a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful celebrations are also the simplest—surrounded by your favorite people, embracing a little adventure, and beginning your marriage in a place you'll never forget.
