Most of the couples I photograph tell me they're nervous about being in front of the camera. That's completely normal—and it's why my approach to engagement photography is relaxed and documentary-inspired.
Instead of constantly positioning you into poses, I'll give you direction when you need it and then leave room for the real moments to happen.

One of the best things about planning an engagement session in Oregon is that we have an unbelievable amount of scenery within a few hours of each other.
I photograph engagement sessions throughout Oregon, including Bend and Central Oregon, Cannon Beach, the Oregon Coast, Portland, the Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood, Smith Rock, Sisters, and beyond.

Where to Take Engagement Photos in Oregon
Columbia River GorgeWaterfalls, towering cliffs, wildflowers, forests and sweeping views of the Columbia River make the Gorge one of Oregon's most diverse places for engagement photography.
It's especially beautiful for couples who want their session to feel like a little adventure.
Bend & Central OregonCentral Oregon is home for me, and it's one of my favorite places to photograph couples. Around Bend you'll find everything from high-desert landscapes and dramatic rock formations to alpine lakes, forests, mountains, and open fields.
Smith Rock, the Cascade Lakes, Mt. Bachelor and the surrounding Deschutes National Forest give us completely different looks depending on the season.
Mt. HoodIf mountains are part of your story, it's hard to beat Mt. Hood.
Depending on the season, we can photograph beside alpine lakes, in forests, surrounded by snow, or with the mountain towering behind you.
Cannon Beach & the Oregon CoastThere's something incredibly romantic about the Oregon Coast.
Cannon Beach is iconic for a reason, but there are also countless quieter beaches, rocky overlooks, forests, cliffs, and hidden stretches of coastline that make incredible engagement locations.
Cloudy weather doesn't scare me either. Some of my favorite Oregon Coast engagement sessions have happened under foggy skies.
