A Picture-Perfect Oregon Afternoon

One of my favorite things about photographing proposals at Mt. Hood is how dramatic the scenery feels without requiring a long hike.

Towering evergreens, wild alpine meadows, and Oregon's tallest mountain create a backdrop that almost doesn't look real.

As we coordinated the final details, I stayed hidden nearby while Emani casually led Camille toward one of the most incredible viewpoints. She had no idea that one of the biggest moments of her life was only a few steps away.

The Moment Everything Changed

When they reached the perfect spot overlooking Mount Hood, Emani dropped to one knee.

The surprise on Camille's face was immediate.

Shock quickly turned into laughter, tears, hugs, and the biggest smile as she said yes.

These are the moments I love documenting the most—not perfectly posed photographs, but genuine emotion unfolding in real time.

For a few minutes, the rest of the world disappeared as they celebrated together with Mt. Hood standing quietly behind them.
