Mt. Hood, Oregon wedding

From the moment I arrived beneath the towering evergreens of an Airbnb A Frame Mt. Hood home, it was clear this day was about more than beautiful scenery—it was about two people who felt completely at home together. Vanessa spent the morning surrounded by the people she loves most, her children, laughter filling the cabin as she slipped into her wedding dress. Across the property, Jeremy waited with quiet excitement, counting down the moments until he would finally see his bride.

Their first look, framed by the forests of Mt. Hood, was one of those rare moments where time seemed to slow. Away from the excitement of the day, they shared a few quiet minutes together—laughing, embracing, and soaking in the fact that after all the planning, their wedding day had finally arrived.

The ceremony took place at an intimate log cabin in a meadow with an incredible view of Mt. Hood. Guests arrived from Germany and around various parts of the United States. This blended family had so much love and support for their union and future together.

As the sun dipped behind the mountains, we stepped away for golden-hour portraits, where the soft alpine light and breathtaking Oregon landscape created the perfect backdrop for documenting the beginning of their next chapter together.

Days like this are why I love photographing weddings in Oregon. The incredible scenery may draw people to Mt. Hood, but it's the genuine connection, quiet moments, and overwhelming joy that make these photographs meaningful for years to come.
